During July 2008, Britney Spears and Kelvin reached an agreement in the court case of custodianship of their children. Britney Spears retained the rights of visitation whereas the rights of physical custody remained with Kelvin. Afterwards, Britney Spears slowly started coming out of her trauma. Britney Spears appeared as a guest star on CBS television series ‘I Met Your Mother’, for which she received positive reviews. Ratings of the series also reached to highest ever.
In September 2008, Britney Spears appeared for MTV Video Music Awards. Britney Spears was awarded ‘Best Female Video’, ‘Best Pop Video’ and ‘Video of the Year’ for her album “Piece of Me”. Later in the same month, Britney Spears announced the title of her sixth video album “Circus”. On 26 September, Britney Spear’ singles “Womanizer” was released to radio stations and the release date of the video was announced as 2 December, 2008, her 27th birthday. The song jumped to number one on ‘Billboard Hot 100′ on October 15.
